Cleared the CELP today
« on: June 01, 2014, 01:11:46 AM »
A few weeks ago I installed a 12V YUASA battery with more cold cranking amps.
Later I noticed a CELP blink of 6.
I am not certain how long or when that issue presented itself since I am not in the habit of delaying the start after I turn on the key. To see the CELP blinks I have to wait a bit on my scoot. I never do.
6 blinks indicates a battery issue.
The scoot runs perfectly and there are no other indications of trouble.
Today, I reinstalled my old, stock, YUASA battery then tested the scoot. The codes were cleared out. I reinstalled the more powerful YUASA battery and tested. There were no codes.
Maybe something came up when I installed the lighting on the Bestem 929 case - even though I had the battery disconnected during the wiring process.
So, ?
Fixed itself.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Thank God it cleared... I'm glad no one was hurt! ::)

I thought that blinking light was to remind me to hit the start switch after turning the key ON.
