[SOLVED: For Now]Saddle bags for a Super8?

Anyone know of any decent soft saddle bags that will fit on a Super8 150?
I'm just looking for a relatively inexpensive solution to have some more storage from time to time, that is easy to remove when I don't need them.  I've seen a couple of nice ones on other scoots, but they look too big for the Super8.

I'll probably end up getting a top trunk at some point, but trying to avoid that as long as possible since it puts the load so high on the scoot.

Any suggestions are welcome.  Thanks!

Look on FleaBay for ATV tank bags. They will drape over the rear of the seat, but then it's a PITA to raise the seat to get at the pet carrier or gas. I ended up cutting them in half and then screwing them down to the rear fenders just below the seat. I keep all the "semi permanent" stuff in there (windbreaker, cable lock, bungee net, etc.) which leaves the pet carrier available for cargo.

Well, I don't want to do any add-ons that can't be un-done without leaving marks. I plan on trading it in for something a bit bigger when my wallet allows.

I've seen a few that the straps go under the seat to hold in place. I like that setup. I may look at my local bike shop to see if any motorcycle bags have long enough straps to work that way. I might get lucky.


Moot point at the moment, since the damn thing won't start anyway!

Well, I may have found some bags for my Super 8.
I found a set of Nelson-Riggs saddlebags designed for sport bike applications. They're fairly small sized, so they shouldn't be to big for the scoot.
I ordered them from denniskirk.com for $70. Should be in by Wednesday.
I let y'all know how they work out.

On the NY scooter club forum, someone has posted about using soft sided coolers as saddlebage.  I've bought a couple, connected them in the middle of the straps, and can put them on when needed by putting the straps under the seat.  One of these days I'm going to attach a couple of reflectors I have on hand to the coolers for some extra visibility.  The coolers I bought are the ones that hold a sixpack.

That's a slick idea for someone who just needs a little extra space once in a while. I'll be looking into that.

Well, I got my Nelson-Rigg saddle bags today. They don't fit perfect, but nothing does on a Super 8!
The only issue I found is the left bag covers the key hole for the seat latch. I fiddled with the mounting straps for a bit, and set it up so I can release the quick release that goes under the tail and undo the velcro support strap on top, and then the bag swings out to access the seat latch key hole. Then when I close the seat, the support and hold down strap hook back up in about 5 to 10 seconds. Piece of cake!!
