I LOVED that film.
Two days ago I was ready to join a "private group", and take my fiberglass/skills overseas. Now... not so much.

I guess you have to do what you think you know best but are you always right... That's kinda the moral of the story.  Here's a hug for ya DeeDee (  )

I have and still work with this population and others similar. I think I was put on this Earth for a reason and accept this without qualm.

I have Nurses tell me I have a calming presence and a gift . I am thankful for this and attribute much of it to my Dads' influence .
I am spending Fathers' Day at Camp with my Dad to help him there and do some trout fishing with him ( while I still can ) .

Be thankful , my friends for what you have . I am blessed .

A loving family has always been the opposite of what I had. I'm not complaining mind you because it taught me to do the opposite of what I saw growing up.
Spreading the love as it were is perhaps the most important thing a person can do with his/her life.

I tip my hat to you BlueSin.

And with all due respect to those of you who live your lives helping/sharing a big double tip to you all.

If you ever need someone "tuned up" (some folks just won't listen)...  Not really sure where that puts me but I am willing to help where I can.

Here is something that is mostly on topic for this thread...
When my daughter was somewhere around 11 she was overly concerned about asking permission for just about every friggin thing under the sun. (single dad from 3 months old)

I told her she does not have to ask permission for every little thing, and to make her own decisions based on one thing. "Ask yourself if Daddy would be proud". I never thought about it again but last month they came for the weekend, and Delliah (9 yo) said to her mom... "I know... Would you be proud"

You got it. I cried!
