Hi, it's 4 stroke.
I've given up and sent it to a bike shop with instructions not to call me until the poor bugger runs (I hate quitting!!
)
Just a last thought, if the petcock is effed will it over flood the engine?
Cheers everyone for your help

The garage said they did a complete engine strip and rebuild, tuned the carb and did a full service. Finally running after all that time.

I throw gallons of roofing tar at my bike daily. The dirt seals up the running goodness.
Blues bike might be clean but it is all duct tape.
Sorrrry Blue. I never got the invite to join your club.
