2010 Yager GT 200i
« on: July 02, 2014, 08:12:04 PM »
Found a used Yager.  Dealer agreed to let it go for $1800 + tax/ttl/reg.  It is a few years old but only has 600 miles on it.  Should be just broken in.  Is this an ok deal.  Looking for a scooter for commuting to/from work.  Top speed limit is 40 mph.  Thoughts???

Ride it first....or, if new to scoots have an experienced scooter person ride it to see how it performs after sitting for years with only 600 miles on it.
Dealer offering a warranty of any sort?
Is your speed limit 40mph, or the locale or your license...this scoot will do much more than 40mph.
If it runs very flawlessly....it might be a good deal at this price out the door.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

New to scoots but have ridden motorcycles for years.  Have endorsent so 40 is just the highest speed limit on roads to work.

I also have 2010 Yager 200gt.  The scooter you're looking at is a screaming deal if unmolested.  Even if there are a few fixable issues due to it sitting around, the 200 GT is a great scooter.  Comfortable at 55mph but can still accelerate up to 65mph.  And the mileage on mine has been phenomenal between 70 and 90 miles per gallon in mixed city/highway use.  Mine has been reliable over the 3 years I have owned it.

Make sure it has had the initial 600 mile service or get it done.  Mine cost $2,999 new...almost $3,600.00 out the door and worth it.  Yours would be half price if almost new!

I concur. That'd be a heck of a good price for a 2010 Kymco Yager GT 200i if it's not got any problems. And with only 600 miles, it most likely doesn't.

I've had mine since 14 Feb 2011 and ridden it just over 8000 miles. It's never given me a moment of trouble, it's plenty fast enough to keep up with freeway traffic, and it's cheap to own.
