Newbie - Is 2007 Venox a 9 volt system?
« on: August 22, 2014, 05:43:01 PM »
Hi... Getting ready to buy a Venox and the owner tells me it's a 9v battery, and that he blew something out once on the bike while jump starting from a running car... BUT he says he can jump it from a car if the engine's not running.  This doesn't sound at all right to me, but I'm thinking "perhaps they do things differently in Taiwan!"

Thoughts?  Thanks.

Modern motorcycles and scooters use a 12V negative ground system. You can jump start bikes using a car, but it may be wiser to leave the car off and simply take advantage of the car's very large battery.

If he blew something, then check the main fuse first.
