Any thoughts about this? Cheapest OEM I can find is at gearhead.com $237. Think this is worth $100?   http://www.aliexpress.com/item/DHL-and-EMS-for-New-product-kymco-handheld-scanner-ecu-tool-motocycle-parts-Working-with-all/564714682.html

Hmmm might be worth a try. It might only read CEL codes and not actually read live stuff like rpm temp tps etc. $100 isn't to bad to try it tho.

Found a Kymco  OEM scanner for a 100 bucks brand new on ebay. Heck for that price in time I know I could sell it  used and get my money back. Life is good.

Yep, that's the one I've seen there before - thought it was Australia, but is S. Africa.
Be nice if all his Kymco parts were discounted like this. You can bet he's still making $ on it - gives some idea of the mark-up from others!
Got mine through the Inter-Library Loan system, and the newest Grisham novel. ( It's a thing unique to Ohio & its neighbor States! :) )

I looked at the add, funny how it says "tune" because you really can't make any adjustments whatsoever with the tool. When we fist got the tool at out shop i was really hoping it would be like aftermarket fuel injection systems where you can change settings. I wouldn't recommend getting it unless you were having hard to track down issues like STIG.

I'm not into tuning stuff like changing the chips or reprograming the ECU. I Like OEM and running to factory specs. This is insurance when or if it acts up, I like fixing stuff if it's mine and breaks. Plus this scanner will cost me nothing in the end I'm sure........may move up to a Kymco 300/250 or so some day, good deal on a used one of coarse.

Yes, I was trying to be careful not to change anything...just wanted some read outs.
Saw some 'adjust' areas...and passed those by. I have enough troubles without screwing up the ECU!
Glad to know I couldn't have, even if I wanted to!

Yeah on some models you can change the co adjust which is like mixture on a carburetor. Can't screw it up tho i personal wish they made it able to adjust more, timing, idle etc.
