Good/Fair price for a new 2014 Agility 50cc and 125cc?
« on: August 21, 2014, 04:05:48 AM »
Hi everyone,

Is $1900 out-the-door, including tax, registration and title, a good price for the agility 50 (Base price: $1695 with $100 student manufacturer discount)?

What about $2200 out-the-door, including registration and title, for the agility 125 (Base price: $1999 with $100 student manufacturer discount)?

The dealer claim no set-up fees.

If not, what is the average price I should pay to avoid being over charged when buying one of these. Now, I am more interested in the 125cc for more speed. This is my first motorcycle so it's kind of an investment to get around to work, school, etc.

Any tips to bring the price down, when going over the only dealer who carry the Kymcos in my area? Used the student discount to bring it down but I would like to know what you guys think. :)

Thank you for this wonderful forum.

hard to say.  I just paid ~1400 OTD for an agility 50, and $1600 OTD for an agility 125, in Minnesota, but that was for 2013 models.  If you are paying 1900 for your 125 with your discount, what is the FL sales tax?  ~$125? that would leave $175 for registration and title, which seems high.

I just today paid $1650 OTD.  In Missouri, TTL is paid at the DMV..so add another $170 if OTD in your state includes TTL.  2014 and I did not qualify for any student or military discount.

The prices I got for my potential dealer, are for 2014 agility 50 & 125.
The sales tax here is 6.5%. So the OTD price includes the sales tax and registration and title, by law if you buy a new scooter from a dealer, he gets the title registration and all that done and you pay him for that. How much your new scooters costed you, with sales taxes title registration all included bottom line price?

Which model and what year, you got with that price ? and how much it costs you , big total, between what you paid to the dealer, taxes, titles, registration, etc. ?

I have to mention that today I called some dealers here in central Florida and the price seemed to be around the same +/- 100 to 200 so for the agility 50 I got OTD with TTL included from $1900 to $2050, and for the 125cc I got OTD with TTL from $2200 to $2400. IDK if it's just a phone quotes or it's actually the price they sell them here in this area. Some dealers will give the numbers with not a lot of questions, some would ask for name, city, what prices I got before calling them, etc.

Yes, as I said, those prices were OTD - out the door...it did include title, sales tax, and registration.

My total is just shy of $1830 incl TTL for a 2014 Agility 125, OTD with TTL.  Our sales tax is right around 8.5%.

I don't know why it's this expensive here in my area. Did you bargain or it's just the advertised price in the dealership or maybe a rare sale / clearance price

Yes I got on the Internet and found the lowest priced one within 4 hr drive.  Then I asked my local dealer to match and he did.  To be fair, I live in the Midwest and dealers up here see Winter coming so they usually start clearing inventory August-Oct.
