Honda Forza review addendum...
« on: September 25, 2014, 09:44:50 PM »
Loving everything about my 2014 Honda Forza....(1500 miles & 3 oil changes >>but mum's the word to the Forza forum! 3 oil changes is supposed to = about 25,000 miles. Seriously.)
Now I add to my review these bits:
The closest stock NGK spark plug is in England. Not in North America. It is not an Iridium plug. (no other plug is specified)
The rear tire is a 140/70-13 Dunlop "Scoot Smart"......The nearest is in England. That size is not sold in N. America.

So, N.America Forza owners are generally switching to a 150/70-13 tire, which may or may not cause big issues with the ABS.....no one knows yet.
As for the NGK plug....I ordered a couple from an English eBayer for a couple of bucks.

Go figure....

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

140/70 tyres are available in N. America, Honda dealers will get you a Scootsmart (eventually) and Pirelli show the Diablo on their N. American website.
Oil changes.
A great deal of R&D has been done by Honda to extend service intervals and this is to the benefit of owners.
If you want to throw away perfectly decent oil then go right ahead, but mine will be doing 8000 miles between changes as per the service schedule.

Tires for the rear of a Forza are limited to whatever the Honda dealer has in stock....it will be a Dunlop Scoot Smart, or nothing because there are no Pirelli, or any other tires of this size actually for sale in N. America.

As for debating my oil change schedule on my new scooter......
Nope.
Let's talk important stuff, like:
