good news/ bad news about my spots!

as you know I installed my new spot lights the other night, good news is they are damned good!! the bad news however is that the cover of the lights catches on the mudguard!
when I installed them the dt was on the centre stand and I had plenty of clearance, no obstructions etc, however, when I was showing them to a friend today he asked why there were scratches on the mudguard, after a bit of investigating it turned out to be the base of the cover was catching the mudguard very slightly when the dt was off centre stand!! I have now remedied the situation by removing the lower part of the cover (3 screws/ bolts) as per these pics.
