Wish Kymco would drop that 400 engine in the 364 pound GTI300 frame.
They would have the ultimate scoot.

New DT will not be in the 2015 US lineup.
No new GT300 anywhere in the worldwide line.

Yes I understand that.  Seeing as the People Gt's power plant was sourced from the DT it would sound reasonable that there would be a People revamp too. I would expect it to take a year or two. i believe the People GT came out a year or two after the DownTown 300i.  It would close the gap between the People GT and the BV 350 a bit too.

I think the GTi300 has plenty of power as it is, and doesn't need a larger engine. I ridden mine many times on the interstate where it is posted 75mph and I will run it 80, but it is capable of going even faster. I think the limiting factor is the stability and the physical size. The BV350 is a bit larger and so an incrementally larger engine fits.  Bigger isn't always better...

Definitely would like to see a GTI 400. Aprilia did the same thing with the Scarabeo in Italy when I lived there...they had a 50/150/250/and 500. Yes there were modifications made to the bike as the engine got bigger, but it was nice to have the options.

I have minor knowledge on basic maintenance based of many conversations with scooter mechanics in Rome, Italy.
