2006 model - foldable mirrors?
« on: November 11, 2014, 09:00:51 PM »
I ve noticed on the earlierst models Xciting 500 (2006) the mirrors are mounted on the frame and not on the handlebar.
Are these mirrors 'foldable'? (Like when shifting in narrow traffic to make the width smaller) and do they 'click' back into place when unfolding?

thx

Don't think 2006 was imported into USA? But I would say no, not fold-able. :-*

The Grandvista / Grand Dink has electric folding mirrors but they are easily damaged and very costly to replace.  Mine got beat up and repaired but after one fall to many I ordered on a the dealer dec 2014 - $180 OTD with tax for one mirror and I was charged $13 shipping to have it delivered to the dealer.

Bottom line - don't expect to see folding mirrors.  While they are nice in tight traffic and when you park and provide good visibility they aren't really a good idea due to the damage factor.
