I have not installed one on that scoot! I did find a link for your service manual that may help ( If you don't have one yet). Here is some input on the Malossi.  It's from the Aprilia forum on the Scarabeo 500.  Close enough that anything that applies would also apply to the Xciting.  I have one of each so watch both forums.
