air inlet
« on: October 27, 2008, 02:16:21 AM »
who knows where the air inlet is on the air box on the Xciting 500? I know how to find the filter and can see where the air gets out and into the carb/FI but cant locate where it gets in..and dont want to strip the plastic covers off to find out..what I am trying to determine is the size of the air inlet to see if it restricts the air flow  :-\

The filter box air inlets are to the front just behind the seat storage plastic.About onehalf of the air box front area is opened for air inlet.

Have any of ya'll had experience with after market specialty air filters?

K&N does not make one yet, however, they have a service whereby you can request to be notified by email when they do have enough requests to make one.
