finish one - get another - problem
« on: October 11, 2009, 02:36:15 PM »
Yesterday several times at stop lights my ps250 wanted to keep moving when I wanted it to stop - I could hold it back, but something is wrong.  When my Aprilia did this it was because a nut had come loose on the clutch bundle allowing it to engage at inappropriate times.  Not sure what the problem is but it will give me something to fret about this week.  Good ol scooters.

Same problem, You may have broken a retainer spring on the clutch. Pull it apart!

Didn't do it today on a long ride with lots of stops.  Hopefully the throttle was open from my big heavy gloves not being very sensitive.  We shall see.

got my "free" top box from Kymco finally - shad - its ok, but no lights, and no liner and mounting kit for ps250 is mickey mouse to say the least, and it takes 2 hands to open it.

Happened again yesterday at a stop light - it was gently trying to move forward until the rpm dropped a tad then it stopped.  So I am guessing it has to do with something sticking in the throttle rigging.

If you believe it to be in the throttle cable, I would get onto fixing it asap! I had one "go funny on me" a few months ago. Of course it Broke at full throttle going up a hill. Had to shut the key. Just pull the carb end loose, and you will be able to feel better if there is a hang up in the wire. ANY roughness is suspect. Good luck
