DIY small service

Oil change:
Open 17mm bolt at the bottom of crank case.
Drain oil into a canister (not on the floor)
Clean the cap using carb cleaner spray or any other.
Clean cap spring and "filter" (metel net)
Re assemble ant tighten 17mm bolt back in the crank case.
Clean the area.
Remove dip stick and fill oil throw the dip stick hole usually at 50-300cc scooters 1 litter is what you need (900cc but i add a bit more)
Start the engine rev it up check for leaks
Air filter change:
Remove air box bolts
Note - some variator bolts are used to hold air box in place.
Rplace air filte and re assemble.
Check coolent level and air presure in tires and thats is it

Thanks for the info. Seems simple and straightforward to me. I think I'll be doing this type of maintenance myself and let the scooter shop do only big stuff like tires.

One of the big advantages of scooters over motorcycles is the ingenious simplicity of them and the ease of maintenance. Good post!
