« on: April 08, 2015, 10:35:08 PM »
A few times now the check engine light has come on , sometimes it will stay on ... I get the code : PO115 Check ETS & wires & such  .... Where is that thing , ...??  This usually happens after periods of WOT riding ... ( I still haven't located the "Turbo Switch" on this scooter ) ,  ... :-\

Engine Temp Sensor is located in the back of the cylinder head. (see those pics in the cyclepedia manual)
WOT causing codes and check eng. light  = overheating the engine?
Tough to check the functioning of this sensor without the Kymco Diagnostic Tool. (can be & has been purchased by forum members)

Here in Texas , the State requires an annual motor vehicle inspection , - a shop inspection , ... ( I am due in April ) , ... My local dealer in Waco ,  has the diagnostic tool , ... I also have a front fork seal leak that needs to be addressed by them ...

Anyhow  , ...  I am used to getting on a Yamaha Zuma 125 scooter and regularly going 50 - 55 - 68 mph without the thing complaining about my fat Irish Ass & so on , ... So we will see about remaining in the Kymco Camp , ...  ::) :D

Most likely over rich /over lean. I see this code on almost every like 200 stored in the ecu (I work at a kymco dealer and scan every efi bike on service). They program the computer lean for emissions and fuel mileage.

How would you go about fixing it if it was your bike ??  What should I say to the Kymco Dealer here ?

Kind of what I'm getting at is there is no problem with your bike. But have your dealer scan it to pull the codes to see for sure what code is stored. If its the over lean / over rich code there is nothing to fix just ignore the code.
