Started but will not move forward??
« on: June 25, 2015, 12:57:42 PM »
I have a 2005 kymco People 50 2T. About 35,000 miles and have only replaced the carb, batt & a couple sets of tires in 4 years! It has been hard starting lately, but always eventually fires up. This morning after it started, it reves up but won't move. Once it started I heard a snap/ping and a clicking type noise. Any suggestions?

35,000 miles on original CVT drive belt?
I would remove the belt cover, and have a camera handy.....your pictures will be very educational....
Perhaps you will need a new belt, rollers, slide pieces, etc.?

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Buy a new belt, rollers,Variator, and control spring for the clutch.

Replace them, and you should be fine.
