AGILITY 50 - UPGRADE PARTS
« on: May 12, 2015, 10:26:33 PM »
Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and have recently bought an agility 50, love it! :)

Fun, smooth ride. Not as nippy as I would like.

So I researched and figured the best way to upgrade it would be to change the boss to a smooth one, buy a derestricted cdi, and remove the restrictor in the exhaust?

Are there any other things I am able to do? Will this exceed 15 bhp? (I doubt it haha  ;))

My last scooter was a HONDA SFX50 but that just died on me and I didn't have the knowledge to fix it, but I never tinkered or played around with that.

Thanks all

Cokym

If your Agility is 4T then tinkering with the exhaust is not worth it, afaik.
I have just a smooth boss and it makes the biggest effect.
I have also tried following rollers 5gm, 5,5gm and 6gm and some between those and 6.0gm sliders only to notice that the original 6.5gm rollers are the best for me. I weigh roughly 75Kg (165 pounds).

If you find a cheap unrestricted or regular cdi box from ebay that works with agility 4T. Let me know.

I ordered one from a seller called Moonriver it also comes with a coil for $20 then noticed it's coming from Hong Kong. We'll see how long it takes to get here I'm sure there's a US seller for about the same price

My wife never asked, " can you make it go faster?" until we bought a 4 stroke Moped. My reply, "yes dear"

You will never hit 15hp, even 10hp is prolly MAX with Zombie tuning the motor. And this is after 1000$ of parts, stroker crank, 80cc kit, carb, cam, big valve head, etc. etc. After you get the smooth boss in you *SHOULD* be at about 35-40 mph. Anything more will require a big bore kit honestly. The smooth boss is a HUGE upgrade to the restricted one. Switching carbs would gain a bit of performance but that always is hard to tune and finicky in cold/hot weather, i.e will run great when warm but hard to start if cold etc. If you need more power, you might as well start researching what big bore kit you want to get, Zombie (where the heck is he?) always talked about performance package kits that come with everything to run 50mph with big valve head, 80cc kit, cam, exhaust, carb etc. for about $500. (China parts, but hey the Agility is already made in China!!) Good luck!!!
