Like 200i LX Not starting after sitting all winter

So I put my scooter up for the winter. Been in the garage, dry and safe. Before the winter, I disconnected the battery, and drained the fuel. Figured I'd be good. Prior to putting it up it hadn't been ridden consistently for a year and a half, so the battery wasn't holding a charge. It was stored in a garage in vermont before getting shipped to me in IL. So I bought a battery tender plus, hooked her up and waited a few hours. Nothing but a click.
Now after about 16 hours, I'm getting a sound like half of a turnover, but not a full turnover. My guess is that the battery is toast or I need a new spark plug. Anyone with any insight? This is a 2013 Like 200i LX with just over 2k miles on it. Been garaged its entire life. Thanks everyone!

Battery.
I know squatt about this - but, I'd go with a new battery.
Could be bad grounds, crud in the injector or fuel line, too many Republicans in the area, etc., etc.
But - this electronic fuel injected scoot should fire even as your finger approaches the start button - and if you have the Kill Switch in the Go position - and she only clicks or grunts....I'd say it is the battery because this is a fool-proof dead reliable scooter!!~
Or, maybe it is 12 other things - remember my "squatt" comment - but I'm going with the battery.

Battery first. Charge the new one with a real battery charger on 2 amps max for 4 to 8 hours or what ever the battery instructions say before you put it in the bike.

Plus, you froze that battery all winter in Vermont.....hardly ran it for 18 months before that.....then you ship it half way around the world to "IL" ?.......where they hardly speak English and you think it is going to start.
You're darn lucky the thing didn't blow sky high!

Thanks guys! I would agree the battery is pretty much toast. Is there a better replacement alternative than the OEM/stock battery? If I replace it, I want it to last a while.

I ride 365 in some pretty crazy temps - all winter - wanted a bigger battery to insure I always get home and don't die in the wilderness. So I researched batteries and came up with this more powerful YUASA to replace my OEM YUASA.
I had to trim 5mm off of the little posts on the bottom of the hold down lid....then it slid right in with no issues. Has been working great for me for some time now. Was only a bit more $ than the stock one - amazon.com.

So today it took a jump from a jumper box and started right up. I rode it for a while and thought, well the battery has enough charge now. 20 min later and NOPE. Would not turn over. Probably going to end up getting the new battery when I get the oil changed next week. In the meantime, I will either be scooterless or have to use the jump start method and making sure I am within walking distance of a service station. Thanks again everyone. I missed being on here. I am back though!

How does a SHIDO LION battery reacts on cold temperatures?

The resistance of SHIDO LION batteries increases at low temperatures. But they will do their job until -10 degrees Celsius. But thanks to the special techniques and the management system built in the SHIDO LION batteries, they will perform much better than other Lithium batteries in cold conditions. There is also a simple trick you can use: if the battery performs poor under extreme cold conditions, use your headlight during 10 - 15 seconds before cranking. Probably around 35,-/40,- for a brand MF. The Shido is about double price. Around 70,-/80,-
Bear in mind that a strong and reliable battery is a real good investment on these Fuel Injected Scooters without a kickstarter but with CVT.

Don't the like have a kickstart

The Like 50 and 125 does have the kickstart, the 200i does NOT.
On the 200i a kickstart alone woudn´t help to start the engine anyway. The ECU can only deliver (correct) information to the ignition system and the injection valve through a healthy and strong batterie in the first place. It´s all electronically steered and managed....

So a proper investment on a good quality MF or LiFePo4 battery might be wise.

I decided to let the shop replace it with a cheaper battery for now. Since I most likely won't be riding much in the winter, I'll just be hooking it up to a tender while it sits for extended periods of time. During the summer and early fall that won't be much. I will probably in all likeleyhood be on it just about every day.
