Clutch turn to wheel turn ratio

My 6 month old Kymco Super 8 50cc doesn't go over 30mph (de-restricted EVERYTHING).

It takes 19 and a bit turns of the clutch for one full revolution of the wheel.
Is this right?
Any ideas on how to reduce this number?

I'm not sure, seems excessive!  I can check what the ratio is on my zx50 and let you know.  I'm a little curious now.  I believe the way you change that ratio is via the final reduction gears.

I just checked mine on my zx50 and it is about 10.5:1.

Yeah mine does seem pretty high  :-\

I've got an old Baotian engine (think its pretty much the same) will check the gears on my Kymco against the old Baotian ones to see if they'll fit.

Only ones i can see to buy are a 10% Gear up kit but are only recommend for 125cc's

EDIT:
Just an after thought, what size wheels does your bike have?
Mine has 14" which may affect gear ratios etc

Mine has a 120/70-12 rear tire, it is also a 2-stroke.  I wouldn't rely solely upon my gear ratio as a comparison.  You need to get someone with the same bike to truly compare too before you make any changes to your own.
