Kickstart needed for People s200
« on: June 08, 2015, 10:37:01 PM »
I am looking for kickstart components for People s200.  The Like 200i does not come with kickstart and I would like to add it to my Like 200i.  Please advise. Thank you.

The CVT cover from a People 200 might not fit the Like 200, the S200 has 16" wheels and the like 12" making the CVT cover on the S200 longer. A kick start won't help you too much on the Like 200 because if the battery is dead, there won't be power to pulse the injector and run the electric fuel pump. Best solution is shove a set of small jumper cables under the seat.

I have a like 125 w/carb it has a kick start. In the 200i is more an issue that without enough power ecu cant be on. Pump cant work and fuel wont be delivered. B&l said it before.. it wont start no matter how many kicks you give.

Thank you for the quick responses.  That's good advice.  The only time I need the kickstart is when temperatures fall around freezing.  The engine turns real slow and the starter doesn't want to hardly move the engine.  I need to bring it inside the garage, warm it up, and then it starts right up.  I know I won't need the kickstart but a few times during the winter months.  But it would be reassuring to know that if I drive the bike to work and it's 40 degrees out, I can still make it home if temperatures fall below 32.  I won't have to leave it in the parking lot because it won't start.  I am looking forward to more good advice.  Thank you.

Jumpstart is your solution. Just get a nice and long set...
