No installed limiter.

The only limit is the timing curve drops as the RPM's increase. It's a pre programmed safety feature for the engine to prevent detonation on bad / low octane fuels.

A rev limiter will kick in at a given RPM, and fire every other cycle to limit power.

Well if you want to get into tuning the bike for a bit more "umph"...

http://www.hpi.be/068.php?cyl=1

That's the inner rotor ignition from HPI. Combine this with their digital/programmable CDI, and you have a faster revving, better running bike.
You will have to purchase their "charging coil", and convert all the lights to LEDs but it's the best you can get for your ignition system. The kit comes with a 45k volt coil so it will never misfire.

If you call, and talk to them they will do MUCH better than the advertised pricing. Now there also MAY be a way to use just the CDI. I am looking into this for another member here.

If it can be done I'll post a thread.

Hi zombie,

I was just about to change my CDI and bumped into this.
So what you're saying is, it's not from the CDI that's limiting the RPM?
All along I was thinking that one of the functions of the CDI is to limit the REV after reaching X number of rpm.
