…so, I’ve been battling this temperature change thing and had just decided to jet rich (110) and deal with the loss in performance until cold weather really sets in…but dang, when you’re used to your machine performing well, it’s hard to be happy with something less…so I jet back to 105 and was running with a sock over my air filter in the cold morning air. .which was working just fine, but looked really stupid…I remembered zombie talkin’ about attaching a tube between the filter and carb, to induct warm air from around the engine shroud into the air stream…didn’t have enough room to do it there, because the air filter would be against my rear fender…played around with some of the stock airbox tubing, but couldn’t come up with anything that was functional, and looked nice too…so I drilled and tapped the end of the filter to allow the installation of a ¼†hose barb…Got me some ¼†fuel line and a lawnmower fuel shut-off valve from NAPA, stuck a small brass filter that I had laying around on the other end of the tubing…a few cable ties to make it all look neat and…Instant warm air induction at the twist of a knob!!!!
