Strange noise, yea Halloween is near
« on: September 20, 2016, 04:11:11 PM »
After riding with the scooter parked I hear a low tone coming from under the middle of the seat pan.
It lasts for about 5 seconds and then re-occurs about 4 minutes later.
This continues for a while.

Leaning toward some sort of pressure buildup, but the sound is not near the gas cap.

Could be the fuel pump. Is it the same sound when you turn the key to the on position? Could be fuel pump kicking in to charge the system.

Pop open the gas cap next time to see if pressure is building in the tank. Suspect the noise is fuel leaking past the injector. Also could be that little, tiny guy in the secret control room that is groaning....
