..wow...i never woulda thought that a plug would make such a difference...

..much smoother running, and the little hesitation i'd been getting under hard throttle acceleration went away completely...

Cool Beans! That hesitation may have been due to a little pre-detonation. You will probally see a few more mpg as well. Same thing happened when I went to a hotter plug. Response improved, and i get closer to 42-43 mpg vs 35-36. Once again it's the tiniest little things that make a difference in these small engines.
