kick starter upgrade
« on: June 28, 2015, 01:40:12 PM »
I like to use the kick starter.  Sometimes, takes more than a few kicks to get it started, if I haven't started it in awhile.  Nothing wrong, just the pesky auto petcock starving the carb for fuel until engine pulls enough vacuum for the fuel to flow.

My Super 9 has nice kick starter with swing out arm, and works better than the lame one on the People.  Anyone know if these kick starters are generally interchangeable between Kymco 50cc 2T engines?  I would like to put the swing out arm style on my People too.

I can try to swap them to check for fit, but I am lazy and thought someone might know.  Cheers

B&L, Thanks.  The one you linked to, a little too fancy for me, but cool.  Rode my Super 9 LC 3 hours today, fun fun fun.  Cheers

Got a used one off ebay from Germany.  Listing was in German, but used Google to translate, very cool, internet is so powerful.  Got it in, looks good, works great.  If I haven't run scooter in awhile, takes more than a few kicks to get gas to the carb, then starts right up.

Better kickstarter is great, I love it.  Cheers
