Top case rattle!
« on: October 07, 2015, 11:53:09 AM »
Wondering if anyone has solved the top case rattle issue on there GT? Both of my GT's have had the problem with the top case cover rattling like crazy when I stop at a light. I tried a couple things to get it to stop to no avail. If anyone has solved this please let me know how and what you did in detail if possible.

I have a People GTI 300 and my top case does not rattle. Perhaps it is because the dealer installed self adhesive weather stripping inside the groove on the top part which fits with the edge of the bottom part to help seal out water. So, no plastic against plastic.

Fabric tape from any hobby store. Shuts hard first time and then works great for vibration noise.

firm foam under the box.
A few short pieces of electrical tape on the edge of opening in rear of box.
Problem solved.
