Kymco Agility 125 (model 2007-8) or Piaggio Fly 125 ?
« on: March 02, 2008, 09:31:25 AM »
Hi all. This is my first post on forum.

GIVE ME REASONS TO BUY "AGILITY 125" (model 2007-8 E3) INSTEAD OF FLY 125.

They have the same price, so price is not the issue.

Thank you.

2. Because you don't want us to call you P-FLy!  ;D

Sorry, I know a couple people that have the Agility. I just don't know anyone who owns a fly (p).
The fella's that own the Agilities seem to like them.

i finally was going to buy Agility 125F, but there is a "problem".
in about 2 months, there will be a new version-model: AGILITY CITY 125.
Agility City will have 16" wheels, and better design. Price will be the same or
a little more expensive. now i think: buy Agility 125F or wait for the new Agility City 125?

They told me price will be almost the same with previous model , but i am not sure
(of course will be cheaper than next level model which is people 125S). see some
pictures of the Agility City at this website and tell me what you think?
www.adventure-biker.cz/index.php?p1=sortiment&p2=skutry&p3=kymco&p4=125-ccm&p5=agility-city-125
(if link does not work, please copy-paste at your browser)

the reasons why i was going to buy "agility 125 fat" instead of "paggio fly 125" are:
- agility has cheaper parts-accessoirs
- agility is faster (??)
- agility has bigger space under seat, so you can have a FULL face helmet (fly: jet-helmet)
- agility has lower consumption
- agility gives 2 years warranty for mechanical + electrological (fly: 2 mechanical, 1 electrological)
- (people from motorcycle RENTAL stores, said that piaggio have more problems than kymco).
- agility gives you the feeling of a BIGGER scooter than fly.
- the only thing that piaggio was better, in my opinion, is the first DESIGN impression, but agility
is NOT ugly. fly seems, in my eyes, more classic-friendly, agility more futuristic-racing.

i found some prices on internet, about the forthcoming Agility CITY 125: 1800-2000 euros.
Agility 125F is 1745 euros. I called at Kymco central office in Greece. They told me
that they do not know the exact price, but will be almost like 125F model...

what do you say? buy 125F or wait CITY?

Man, that is great information, thanks!

Here is a pic from the site you linked to.

Will you be riding on rough roads?  I'm sure the big wheels will smooth out the ride.  How is tire selection between the two models?  Probably a small concern but something to consider.

Looks like there is more ground clearance.  That will probably translate to a higher center of gravity and slower handling.  Not sure how much that will matter.  Larger wheels will probably mean slower acceleration.  Not sure how much if any will be noticed though.

Hmm, would be nice to have an owner perspective of the Agility 125 city  ;D  It's all about me.  :D

It looks like the new one has a larger leg shield... Man I wish mine was larger in the ice this winter (and rain). That alone would be worth it. Unless, of course, you can talk the dealer down on the price for the "old" model.

Your cojones are large, indeed, if you scoot in ice.

For rain, see here. Assuming you have a good leather jacket and/or mesh/textile w/waterproof, zip-out lining (and you should, if you're scooting, IMO), the pants are just $20 retail, and the keep you drier than the Democratic congress's powder. Yet, they don't cause you to sweat and get clammy, like the old-school rubberized crap.

I got mine at the local Army-Navy store.
