10/19/15 at 37,672 miles, my 300 broke down The worst of part of this happening is that it happened on my wife's birthday. I was going around 70 MPH on Highway 114 in Grapevine. The next thing, I knew I was losing power and the engine stop running. No engine light turned on. When I stopped, I tried to start it but no avail. She did not want to start, It was 3 hours before the tow company showed up. Local Kymco dealer (Moxie Scooters) is closed on Monday, so I had her taken to my house. I emailed and left a voice message asking Moxie to pick up my scooter.
Moxie Scooters picked up my 300 on Wednesday. They thought the shut down was due to the battery charge being low. But upon further review, they determined that the engine has lost compression. To find out what caused the compression lost is the $64,000 question. Could be a bad or blocked valve or an exhaust system issue? Who knows.
I will let everyone know later what caused the compression loss.
