2015 500i LE

Just took delivery of my new 2015 500i LE last week,not finding much in the line of accessories anybody got some good suggestions. Thanks

  Wish I did, but Kymco is still far behind in that area. You have many more options on your 500 than I have on my 450. I have found that many of the "universal" fit items work well such as rear view mirrors. I did buy a universal plow mount kit that is worthless. The plow and push tube is of excellent quality but the erector set pcs they give you to put it on with are junk. As a toolmaker I am making my own framework to attach the plow mount then will be good to go. Making my own windshield as well.

  Yea that seams to be the case,I did have the hard sided enclosure and the Warn plow system installed from the dealer so I guess I am ahead of the game in that regards.

Was looking for basic stuff like front mud flaps,floor mats,rear bumper etc. I guess just have to buy universal stuff and adapt them to my needs.

  Your farther along in accessory browsing than I am, so far just installed a rearview mirror, half windshield and working on a top half just for the cold weather. My dump bed came with a floor mat, never considered floor mats for the cab area????  Been thinking about some type of mud flap but not sure...hate to see them get ripped off if I go trail riding but the backend does get mud flung up on it without flaps. My 450 had no plow mount options other than universal fit and that was a joke. I ended up getting a quad boss plow system....nice unit...very nice and heavy duty...but have to make my own frame to attach the quick release mount onto my machine's frame. Can't take my machine into work with me so going has been slow fitting everything.  The guy on this forum has the rear bumper designed...looks good from the pics.. I personally don't care for the front brush gard, but that is just me, I don't care for them on any machine so it has nothing to do with his quality which does look good from his pics. Keep us posted on your ad ons, pics also help...especially while we all wait for nice weather to get here.

  I just loaded the pics on my computer and when ready to post just added "attachments" and clicked on my pics in the computer. Some were to large and would not load so I just kept screwing around trying to make them smaller until it went thru. I am no computer wiz and do not know what I did, but just kept pushing buttons until something happened. At 65 that's about all I know when it come to computors, just keep pushing buttons until something happens!!

Boy it is nice in cold Northeast Pa winter,traded a compact diesel tractor for the whole set up. Pretty disappointed with my top speed anyone figured out how to get more speed out of these.

I thought the top speed on Kymco UXV is around 48 mph? That is decent speed for a UXV. The John Deere 825i at work topped out at around 44 mph. The do make high performance variators and sheaves for the MXU 500i. The aftermarket brands, Malossi and Dr. Pulley, fit both the Xciting 500i scooter and the MXU 500i.  They allow the belt to drop slightly lower on take off giving more acceleration and ride higher at top speed to give some more topend. You just need to find out if your CVT is the same as a MXU/Xciting. Maybe talk to your dealer.

So far have only been able to get 42mph, but have not held it wide open for too long seeing how it only has 11 miles on it and is not broke in yet. By the way how do I find this not listed in owners manual the hr meter?

   With only 11 miles on her I would not be running at wide open throttle yet, at least 100 miles in my opinion. My 450i is rated for 48mph and I know have 200 miles on her. The rev limiter kicks in at 49mph so far, don't know if that will change in time or not. I did change all the fluids over to full synthetic at 175 miles, engine oil and diffs and I know that has made a small difference, idles better and gets up and goes noticeably better. Don't know what the red line the 500 at but the 450i is set at 7500 rpm, not sure I would run it wide open at that rpm for very long. I have found around 35-40 on the road is plenty fast enough. I must say though it is comfortable at speed, ride and responsive steering is a plus.
   Another poster reported on the hour meter and on my machine it pops up when cycling thru the menue and uses a tiny hourglass symbol but the numbers and symbol is quite small so look closely. When you press the right button it scrolls from odometer, to trip odometer, then clock and somewhere in that cycle the hour meter pops up just look close to see it. Have the driving lights on to illuminate the dash to see it better.

You are correct I truly did not open it up all the way yet nor do I plan on it.My dealer told me break-in was at 50hrs and recommended not switching to synthetic at that time. Was not real clear on why he said to keep it with regular oil at that time. Thanks for the help finding the hr meter,boy is that symbol small.
