Have compression still no spark!!
« on: February 28, 2010, 07:38:34 PM »
Well the shop is still troubleshooting my scoot, but they said i have compression, but no spark.  Its taking them a little longer than they said, but Im sure they are pretty busy over there they said they should be able to tell me whats wrong by the middle of next week.  They readjusted my timing, and reset my valves which they said were off.  I was pretty sure I had all that stuff correct I used a feeler gauge on my valves and set them to .oo3 and my timing I set according to the manual, but hey If they got it right I guess it works for me.  They are going to charge me for an hour of labor and they will fix it if its something simple and if it requires parts and is going to be more than an hour they will just tell me what i need.  So I am getting antsy b/c I want to get back to my daily riding, and now I hear we are going to get MORE SNOW >:( looks like Im just going to have to wait even longer!

I was pretty sure I had all that stuff correct I used a feeler gauge on my valves and set them to .oo3 and my timing I set according to the manual

..your valves should be set at .04mm, per the manual...

..i set my intake there, and the exhaust at .03mm

...003, i'm assuming that's in inch scale, is almost twice what they should be set at...

No shame Kimco, Let us no what they find!
