Since you have the new belt and rollers, I would install them The belt is nearing the end of life and it may have stretched or your rollers may have flat sides and not rolling correctly.
I know when my newer sliders were installed wrong, my P250 would only go 55-60 when 75-80 was normal. I changed them and now it does 80-85 easily. The P250 and B&W use just about the same CVT and engine. I had to make a tool to hold the variator and clutch to be able to remove them.
My first one bent (shown in photo) so I made a new one with thicker straps. I found the straps and other bolts at Home Depot near the gate hinges and such.
Thanks for the info...
Ended up being the belt had lost a chunk of the ribs. Took everything out and examined rollers which were still at 23mm..new ones are about 23.5mm. Clutch and assembly looked fine. Blew out all the dust in the clutch assembly.
Ended up being a good thing after all. Gave me the incentive to go thru everything, changed the rear tire, coolant, oil, gear oil, plug, cleaned the motor and oiled the throttle linkage. All the bushings and bearings were in good shape. All I've got to do now is order an air filter...of course my local dealer didn't have one...
I'll get the body panels back on hopefully on Saturday and give her a spin. These scoots really are made well. Rugged and well put together...except the body fitting is a PITA. Pretty much every time I remove the panels some tab or something breaks off. aargh!
