What tools should I carry with my Kymco Grandvista 250cc?

I think I need a at least a 3/8" socket set with 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, and 19mm, and various extensions and adapters. I have a multi-bit screwdriver from Home Depot. 

Should I carry an extra spark plug? What size spark plug wrench?

I think the tires are tubeless.  Should I invest in a tubeless tire repair kit? How about tire irons?

Should I carry an extra drive belt? What else do I need? I like to be prepared.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

If you bought it new, there will be a rudimentary tool kit included in a pouch under the seat, including a spark plug socket. But the sockets you mention will be helpful, as would a small needlenose pliers, tire gauge and LED flashlight.

Unless you're very, very good and handy, changing a drive belt on the road will be a bit of a challenge. I spend $50/year with these folx (sound down, first... hate the auto-play audio!) to get free roadside assistance or tow-in for troubles on the road that are fairly involved.  If you sign up, please use my member number as your referrer: 25991.

I do have a Slime Smart Spair kit under my seat, and some additional tire plugs for emergency tire repairs.

I'm buying this 2006 Kymco GV used and I didn't see any toolkit under the seat. What is the needle-nose pliers for? What size spark plug wrench? I need a 3/8 socket driver, I suppose. Would a tubeless tire repair kit obviate the need to remove a wheel while out on the open road? What are most common repairs?

All of the spark plugs I have ever used in my ZX50 are 13/16".  I carry a spark plug socket with a built in swivel.  I also carry an 8mm & 10mm socket and a small adjustable wrench.  Also, some zip ties and electrical tape and needle nose pliers.  These tools cover most of the roadside repairs I would encounter.  Anything more serious I just call a friend with a truck!  As far as common repairs, I've had to use an adjustable wrench to tighten down my mirrors.  Zip ties to secure loose fuel lines and wires.  Electrical tape to wrap vacuum lines that get a hole in them.  Just minor stuff mostly.  I also carry a small flat head for carb adjustments.  I don't carry a tire repair kit.  I figure if I get a flat, I'll call someone.  With those kits you don't have to remove the wheel, but you do have to have or be near a pump to re-inflate it.

Neither one of you mentioned a book of matches! I posted for someone else that ALL the tools you will ever need to fix your scoot will fit into the compartments on your scoot; including your helmet. While I'm not caring a tire kit (stupid for me) They do have motorbike sized Fix-A-Flat. A book of matches is good tho...
