How post pics?
« on: February 20, 2010, 07:12:50 PM »
It must be obvious to everyone but me, but how do I post pictures? Are there size constraints?

When you go into the new topic or reply screen, there's additional options at the bottom left.  Click on that and it brings up a browse window where you can search out the location of the file on your computer.  Then I get nowhere.  The pic doesn't show up in the preview or post.  You can see the jpg below this message, but no pic.  So maybe we're both unable to post pics.  :-\

You got that one on. Real pretty place. There is a size limit. I think it is 198kb but I'm not sure. I Have been using Picture Resize, and set it for large email/ jpeg. I stink at posting picts., and that is the only way I figured out how to do it.

The way I was taught and what works for me:

Go to photobucket.com or any photo hosting site.  It's free.  You sign up with a username and password.  Then it'll give you an account where you upload your pictures to.  Takes very little time.

Once picture is uploaded, you get options.  Hover your pointer on the thumbnail of your pic and choose "direct link".  Copy that code in your browser by holding Ctrl c on your keyboard.

Then paste that code into your posting here.  You can then preview to see if it worked.  I fretted and cussed a long time before I got what was supposed to be so simple to work, but this is the method I've seen suggested on several other forums.  I'm finally getting the hang of it.

If you have probs, post again n tell me what happened and maybe I can help.

Seems roundabout, I know but it works.

The only way I know to get them to post is thru the "additional options..."  tag on the lower left. Hit browse to open the folder w/ your picts, find the pict, and hit open. The pict will up-load, and be on your post. I don't use it often as I fail as often as succeed.

Just wrap [  img  ]url to pic here[  /img  ] around and pics url. (But close the brackets this [ and ] ) to be next to the img
Also above the posting box on the second row, second from the left is a pic icon to click on which does this for you....

thanks, now we have all the pics of that People 250 that anyone can stand.  Since Kymco has discontinued the big People, guess it's fine to remind everyone how cool it was.
