is the NGK iridium replacement spark plug for the current S250 - picking one up tomorrow and trying it out.

The jury is in here. You're gonna love the new plug! Better idle/ start up/ acceleration. Maybe they will phase out the older copper type.

Any shortcut to getting into where plug goes?  Dreading taking covers off.

Not sure on your but mine is easiest to remove the under seat storage compartment. A few 10mm nuts, and I can get to pretty much the whole engine

I can just reach up under my panels and can get to the spark plug.  I do have a 13/16" spark plug socket with a built in swivel I use.

Same w/ mine shaka. With the fender liner gone I can react it easy. Just thinking back to when the seat tray was the easiest.

Changed it out today and it was a bear - these things are not made to work on that's for sure.  I cannot imagine being able to get to it without pulling some panels off.  Maybe the seat/box and the left lower panel might give access.  There was stuff packed all around it - I could barely get the cap on and off.  Will report on performance results as they develop - seems smoother to me, but that could be a psych job.

things seem better with this plug - could be mind games, smoother, better power, starts without having to give it gas - this is new.

I have pretty much resigned myself to taking the body panels off.  Once you do it a few times, it's pretty darn quick and makes engine work simple.

Read the service guide, section two, to see how to remove the panels as one assembly after about 10 bolts/screws.
