Man, what a goatscrew of a web site!  I can understand why you wouldn't like to it, directly.  ;)

Btw, their price on the Kenda rear tire for the P250 (once I found it) was $7 higher than my local dealer.

Well, my experience with the stock Kendas -- the front picked up one nail too many, and had to be replaced (w/a Pirelli that was on closeout). However the rear tire wasn't replaced until 14,000Km (and admittedly, I went a little long on that, due to financial hardship). So yeah -- it's a hard tire, but I haven't had any control issues on any surface, thusfar.

Plus, my dealer had this one in stock, and he was not going to be selling it to anyone BUT me. I was happy enough to take it out of his inventory.

I just replaced my front tire at 30,000 KM.  Factory Kenda the was severely cupped @ 16,000 KM but I rode it out to 30k KM.  The replacement tire was $42.00 and I had a local guy install it to the wheel for $25.00 (three bolts and the axle shaft to take it off the bike.   It's a Shinko.  I have had one on the rear for about 8 months and I have had zero slips or slides (no downs either, knock on wood).  I researched the Shinkos on racer forums and lots of the racer boys use them as track tires.  I saw a healthy respect fro them from the racers. They were happy with the grip and the wear.  I have not used the front yet as I have been too busy and I am still waiting on my new muffler.  I can't idle at all anymore.

If i'm not mistaken the tires used for racing are the same street tire avail. to all of us, just shaved down. They are very similar to the Kenda's compound but 4 ply for the Shinko vs. 2 for the Kenda. The compound is the key. they absorb fuel rapidly so there is a limited life span for a 2t. They may be much better on a 4t. (4t is my only experience w/ Shinko) but I liked them back when I was running on 1/2 the strokes

I believe Avon is a UK based company.  I bought mine from www.motorcyclesuperstore.com.

I paid about $70 w/ free shipping for mine.  I had to add in some 2-stroke oil to get the free shipping at $75.  I don't know what size you need, but you may hit the $75 mark on yours without the something extra.

Here's the exact link to the tire. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/5/32/404/12010/ITEM/Avon-AM63-Viper-Stryke-Rear-Scooter-Tire.aspx

I got tired of waiting for the new muffler.  I put the new tire on and I love the feel of the bike.  The new Shinko is a lot different feeling than with the cupped Kenda.
