Another Thread for more Carb questions

<a href="http://" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">http://</a>
I have a 2005 people 50 2t, it is derestricted and fun as hell to ride. I plan to add a performance exhaust (Technigas), and a free flow filter. What I need help is deciding what main jets I need.  The carburetor on the bike is stamped Keihin KT and the service manual says I.D.# PB058. What type of main jets should I be ordering??  Not all keihin jets are the same.
One more thing. I know the CDI is derestricted but wanted to check where is
was on the bike. Anyone know where its located. The manual says something about being underneath the battery cover?? Can't be directly on top of the battery can it? Maybe I just didn't take enough plastic off the scoot to uncover it.
Gonna black out the scoot except for the "chrome" accents over the winter. Team that with the chrome technigas exhaust should look bad-ass. 8)
I'll worry about changing the variator, rollers, clutch and springs next year.
P.S. Whoever posted the video "Put a Kit On It", just wanted to say thanks. Now I have that song stuck in my head everytime I walk out to my scoot. :D

I think the 2005 is under the front shield.Little tricky to get off 3 screws and a couple tabs that kind of snap in.I think the next r comes with jets#75 stock air #90 pod and 6.5 rollers. I could be wrong. You will need to change the rollers for top performance it will be a dog if you stay with the stock 8.5s.If you plan to kit it get the nexr r2 The r1 didn't work well for me and the airsol 70cc kit.The keihin main jets for the kymco are not the same as the ones at provo scooters I had a hard time getting them or good info on there correct size had to go to scoot shop and have them match them up.I found it easier to tap the attomizer to fit the ones from provo and a much better selection.Hope that helps good luck.
Kymco peoples too many ;) I'm not an expert just a full time hobbiest.
