Schoolboy Battery error
« on: July 12, 2016, 06:25:02 PM »
I was prepping  my lads Kymco agility 50 4th and put new battery on. Tried to start turned a couple of times then nothing. Checked back and found I had put the battery on back to front [schoolboy error) .  Put battery around the right way and nothing. Checked battery  with voltmeter 13.2v , checked the 2 fuses by battery compartment for continuity  both okay.   Is there another hidden fuse elsewhere on this ped or have I cost myself some more money?

I think your starter was trying to start your scooter backwards for a few seconds.
A quick phone call to your scooter repair shop will tell you what else may need fixing.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

When I did the same thing on my People 50, it blew the main fuse as soon as I connected the battery. Had a hard time finding the right size fuse at an autoparts store, but there was a spare fuse attached to the battery box cover. :)
