Headlight bulb: LED ok?

Just pulled out a bad incandescent 12v 35/35 (BA20D) bulb from my Agility 50's head lamp.   Am thinking of replacing with this:  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HUOMYIU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A867P1BBKCZM8

I have searched and read with interest threads about rewiring new fixtures, but why, if this bulb works and draws a fraction of the current, produces less heat, produces more lumens and last 50000 hrs?
Any concerns or issues?

Depends on your system AC or DC can you test it to find out? Or what year is your bike? I have a 2013 it's DC

2007. How would i test to determine ac or dc?

You would need a multi-meter then connect it to the headlight leads see if it reads on the AC or DC scale. The old bulb may have writing on it saying 12v DC 35watt ect... that would solve the mystery

Pass the salt, this crow is not very tasty. Am now researching bridge rectifiers to see if i can salvage a $23 light bulb.  Will post what i discover.

After a fair bit of research, i decided to give up on the led head lamp idea. I know that others have installed bridge rectifiers to convert the ac to the needed dc, but I was not willing to go there.

you can wire it in from the stator.but make sure you put a fuse on the hot lead.

I tried one of those, and even with a rectifier to convert AC to DC it burned out from overvoltage..

No problems so far, just not really brighter.  A lot of people are starting to use LED Spots aimed low, so I got some LED fogs that I will likely try out.

Bulbs are DC! No problem with using a LED one, just order the correct fitment! All bikes use DC!!!

The stator driven from the crankshaft generates AC, it then goes to the rectifier to convert to DC before powering lights...

Some CDI units are AC some DC, same principle, when fed by the Stator it is AC volts, the CDI will then rectify Part of it it to DC to use for ignition.
