Local News Station Story On Road Rage Video

WCNC did a story today on the 6pm news about my road rage incident from 5/6/16 they didn't get it all right but close enough maybe people become a lil more aware.

I take it you were holding up traffic because you were doing the speed limit  or 5 MPH over so the white RV passed you a cut it close to teach you a lesson not to mentioned being scarred for life from that visual?

Actually what started this wasn't on camera and no...I don't hold up traffic I cruise at 50. I was in the left lane and we were stopped. I always get in the left lane at this area during rush hour as the right lane has two lanes and highway traffic merging into it and also most of the big trucks stay in that lane. As stated I was in left lane but not in center of it I was kinda in the right paret of lane we were stopped cuz of traffic. This guy puts his left wheels in the grass and comes up beside me trying to block my access to my lane and push me into center of two lanes. So when right lane opened up I got into it and as I went by this guys window who couldn't even complete the pass cuz there was a car 5 ft in front of me I showed him he was NUMBER ONE in my book. next thing I know I'm stopped by the light and start hearing this lunatic screaming out his window then he swerves into right lane gets out of his car and starts walking up to me. I got off my scooter and he's just screaming stupid sh** so I tried several times to get back on my scooter but everytime he would rush at me bout the 3rd time is when I turned cam on and the rest you can see on my Road Rage video post it has a link to youtube video of full helmet cam.

There are lots of people that are hooked on some nasty prescription meds that drives them loony.

This may be one of them.

Sounds completely unprovoked and someone having a bad day.

I had someone run me off the road claiming I shouldnt be on the road as I have an unregistered bike. Maybe I need a big 49cc on the back of my bike instead of my Herby 53 plate; but a lot of drivers don't know scooter laws.

Glad to hear you’re safe and unharmed from the incident. I’m like you, I tend to stay in the left lane as it’s safer from merging traffic and lane changers.
You did a great job representing our right to ride as equals on the road. Looks like this will be a win in your case. Hope the guy gets a hefty fine, or worse.

But ... man, why do they refer to scooters as mopeds?

Here in North Carolina anything 50cc and lower that doesn't shift is labeled a moped. This guy has a lengthy criminal history including multiple driving under suspension as he is in this one he even has a child abuse charge back in the day. He is Facing now Assault and Communicating Threats charges. Also my helmet cam video is started to go viral the news story kinda helped that out lol in 5 days over 1300 views and Viral Hog has obtained the rights from me to sell and promote it.

Also NBC contacted me today and asked permission to make the news story accessible to all their stations and affiliates.

and I have never seen as many bad drivers as there is now.
Most every trip out, whether in my vehicle or on my scooter,
I see infractions.
How do these damn people get a drivers licenses?.
I wish these young girls had their cell phones stuck
in their rectums.
Glad you did not get injured in this incident.

ps: I hate it when news people call scooters mopeds.
Modern scooters are capable of doing, even exceeding
speed limits.
People that don`t know scooters are usually not aware
of this.

I get messed with alot as a daily driver out there. I ride on back roads, main roads, it don't matter jerks are jerks but surprisingly I get alot more love and support than hate out there. This was the worst incident to date and even if it was just about me I doubt I would have let it slide but as COfounder and Charlotte Chapter President of Making Slow Look Fast Carolina Scooter Club I felt it was my responsibility to get as much awareness out of this situation for us on two wheels as I could.
