Sounds like the cheap ebay leds are just not reliable.  Thanks for that info, will make sure  that I purchased some good ones.

Thanks for the headsup.

Its always nice to hear how things work out long term

I purchased and fitted the Philips 40% plus headlight globe, just haven't taken out at night yet to see the difference.   I also bought leds to replace the parkers but the did not fit in the bulb holders too well as the are bulkier on the sides but looking again at the Philips globes as there are some better ones there.

Still waiting on the Queen to mail me my new orange philips bulb for the headlight.
Anyone know...is she out of town skydiving again?
I heard she got hooked on that after the London jump with 007.

Haven't done a night ride yet Stig to see how the new globe rates but I did get to see it's reflection in the rear panels of cars whilst at the traffic lights and there certainly was an orange glow around the outside of the light.

Orange glow.
Wonder if that's legal?
Would be cool if I got arrested on a scooter!
They'd have to stop me first.
I'd do an OJ Slow Escape at 30mph through the State Park....News Helicopters, Stop-Sticks, waving fans, a Dream Team of ambulance chasers, etc. !! Serpentining (Counter-Steering) would make it hard to shoot out my City Grips.
Blame it on the Queen.

Not a strong orange glow but more like a tint around the outside.  On another note I went for a night ride tonight and did not think it was 40% better or that it was much better than the stock globe at all.  Really is a shocking light as I had a lot of trouble seeing potholes and such.  Awaiting your review when you get yours Stig.

Well....weak + 40% = ?
Ah shoot.
Yeah my LIKE200I does not go AT SPEED on night rides down wooded streets after a storm.....even well known streets.
Never on unknown roads after dark.
Is especially bad into on-coming car lights.
One thing I've considered doing is cranking the high beam down onto the road...full time.
IF it can be adjusted that far.
Fork mounted LED pods are used by some....but don't know how far they light the road.
Big night rides. ...I take the twin lighted Burgman. Powerful lights!
I will report after I get.
Thanks for info.
