Hello all,  Just picked up on of these nifty valve adjustment tools on E-bay for $6.59. It has a 9mm hex socket with 3mm square socket inside. It allows you to unlock the valve lock nut and then adjust the gap and hold it while retightening.

I use a few drops of good synthetic oil on the nut/screw, then it stays pretty much in place while I adjust and lock it down.
This looks like a good tool - if there's room for fingers, feeler blade, etc. in there - would have to put down my coffee I think.
Here's one for a 10mm lock nut. What is the LIKE?

Blue, what is the name on the package the tool came in?.
I also do not like e-bay. May to try to find it elswhere.
Do you know the exact size that fits the Downtown, and
GTI300?.
Thanks boo

The E-bay store that I purchased it from is called ditlivinglife. The name on the wrench is Li-Ding but there are probably many manufacturers in China. They do also have the 10mm version but I don't know what size that the 300i engine uses.

Thanks for letting us know about the tool.  ;) I got mine yesterday, yet to try it out. But I do believe 9mm is for Gti 300cc and Downtown too as they have the same engine.

Yes, thanks. I could not find that seller, but found another seller on eBay.Co.Uk who sold me 8,9,10mm set, for another 1-2usd. It is still on its way.
