The first picture shows the location of the two holes that need enlarging. I should note a Dremel was used to trim the studs down after the nuts were tightened.

The second and third show where the new holes are to be drilled.

The fourth picture shows the entire plate and the pads used for vibration dampening.

TAn I enlarged the same holes you did but the 2 new holes I drilled matched the existing holes just north of where you drilled yours. I drilled the new holes in the Givi adaptor. I didn't need to trim anything on the box like you did by doing that. Plus didn't have to worry about drilling on the bend edge. I did add some weather strip like you did to try to decrease the rattle.

I saw that but I did not want to drill into the Givi plate.

6 of one half dozen of another just depends on where you want to drill the new holes.

My primary goal was to use the designed rear mounting. I do not think it is stronger but it may create a more rigid platform. A word of warning in that a more rigid mounting platform may also increase the need for vibration dampening.

okay guys i tried  the way you all gave me pics and instructions it was the cheapest way to go but just didn't like the t-box .so i broke down and went a different direction and bought the Givi E450 Simply Monolock Top Case with the SR92M MONOLOCK REAR RACK PLATE..it all arrived today by fedex and will work on installing it this weekend.



i greatly appreciate all the info and help on this matter it's why i always come back to this site very friendly and more knowledge then any whee else i have ever been again guys thank you so very much ill take pics soon

I enjoy my Bestem too. But can understand why some go with the Givi. Easier to mount but also spendier. All depends on your personal budget.

I use mine as a trunk for all purposes. For my use the box is perfect.

When Givi cases can give me more rear lighting than I'm getting from my  $100 BESTEM 929 - I'll take a look at them.

I rely on this case & its lights most days of the week.

i understand the nite brake light appeal ive had my scoot since 2011 ive rode it 3 times at nite 98% the time is all day time risding

The string of LED red day time running lights at cager's eye level works good any time of the day.
Like good lights in front....good lights in back....make me more visible.
