Kymco dealer
« on: June 16, 2016, 12:28:39 AM »
Just found out my local kymco dealer dropped kymco as a line. Not selling enough inventory around here. My 450i was only the 4th side x side they had sold in 4 years. With Yamaha, Polaris, and Honda dealerships all within 10 minutes, everybody goes for the big name. Guess next time I want a part I'll have a couple hour drive

Wow that sucks, if only more people would look at them and see how well made they are, their sales would be much better.  I know the big guns won't allow their dealers to sell Kymco products, so just what are they afraid of?  I did talk to a couple of dealers that used to sell Kymco products and they liked them, never had an issue with them but the other manufacturers threatened to pull their products unless the dealer dropped the Kymco line. It is not hard to get Kymco parts directly from the factory in I believe its SC....I have spoke to them and they seemed very helpful.

The dealer I spoke of ordered me some replacement plastic pieces that I broke. He said he didn't want to stop selling because they are a great product. But everyone wants their name brand machine that costs a lot more to purchase and maintain. He told me my parts that were ordered today should be here Friday or monday

If people would only do their research.. I hate to say this but Kymco does not do a very good job on getting the word out....but then again that advertising does cost a lot of money, probably why the big names are so expensive. With some researching people will realize that Kymco is the largest manufacturer of cvt motorized vehicles in the entire world. All of their combined products outnumber the the biggest name brands here in the USA. They didn't get that big by making junk. People would be very surprised at how many of the "big" name mfgrs use a Kymco engine and transmission in their machines but bad mouth the company when it come to competition sales. Artic cat, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Polaris, and Honda all currently use or have used in recent years Kymco drive train products in there machines. Kymco made engines for Honda for many years until the word spread and embarrassed Honda so they no longer use their engines but still use many components and have their own engine plant run by Kymco engineers just down the road from Kymco.
