Stig   Thanks for all of the information - it's a lot to digest before I get started.  The only question left to ask to you and the others that took up the challenge to make the needed changes is, "If you could do it all over, what changes would you make?"  Much of the work for many of you was 3 years ago.  Thanks for all the great pictures, too.

Would not have put a dab of spray glue to keep cover from slipping in center.....it really wasn't going anywhere.

VERY good question - pretty clever to ask!

Actually - I think I got pretty lucky getting it so right! Doubt if I could do it again (had offers .....but was so hard for me I'd have had to charge too much for my time/effort)

Only thing I would have done differently if I were wealthy - is take it to a pro to have a nice brown leather cover stitched and pulled onto MY foam job! Remembering how much my fingers hurt when I was finished - I know I could not have pulled it any tighter to remove the wrinkles.....on a 2 piece / stitched cover could have gotten them out.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
