Questions after 80cc upgrade
« on: July 16, 2016, 08:17:33 AM »
Hello. So I installed 80cc (81.3cc 54mm) BBK just because it would be easier to sell this scooter next year.

What is the correct valve clearance for this 80cc bbk? In kymco manual says 0.4mm, but others use 0.004inch.
What weight of rollers you suggest me to use? ( I got 5.3g, original, 9g )

And I don't want to create another topic:
When I managed to turn it on, I didn't manage to get it to work properly. Only 2 or 3 times I was able to make it to the max throttle, other times failed. It just can't go over not even stable idle. There was a lot of unburnt fuel and my secondary air system (i guess it is a pump) started to be confusing. Bottom cover kept getting off because of the air pressure that came in, it even broke the sides of cover... Yes i have changed the spark plug to new (the old one was doing pure sparks).
And also when I touch my rear brake cable to the scooter, it gets short circuit. (I got some smoke coming from the bottom of the scooter one time when managed to burn my starter and I took it of). Then the spark plug was old.

It ran very well, only had some problems with idle sometimes, but everything else was perfect.

So yeah, I made it to work by changing the spark plug to new and changing main jet to #88. But at 3/4 throttle it gets hikup. Whats the problem?

try a open air filter.Or play with the air and gas intake.

I installed a 72cc kit in my wife's 2014. The carb was to small, 16mm. ended up going with a 20mm Keihin. I put a post with a lot of info, 3 pages. Agility 50-72cc I just updated it so it's a little ways down this Agility 50 page, roughly 10 posts. If you go to the 3rd page you should find my final set up with some other tuning info. Good Luck!

My wife never asked, " can you make it go faster?" until we bought a 4 stroke Moped. My reply, "yes dear"
