Can you say, "impact wrench?"

Karl
I've learned that many mechanics have ZERO feel for correct torque. Yes,move used impact wrenches in place of a torque wrench on some applications. But I have a feel for torque and know when to back off. Many mechanics simply just lay on the wrench. If the wrench is weak or if it's strong, they have no idea. It's possible that the careless mechanic had a new wrench and didn't have sense enough to know that it was too strong to lay on it for dear life. COMMON SENSE ISN'T SO COMMON ANYMORE.
