My mech.   said he checked mine at the 600 mile check up, and when I did my check up at 25,000 mile check up, it was very close to Spec. I will do my valves again soon , I am over 50,000 miles now,  84,000 Km.  and it seems to run better every year, it is a 2011 300i downtown break in was WOT up a long hill , and 100 KM. top of hill closed throttle down hill, did that for 25 miles and went home and changed oil, hot,.  then did variable speed for 1000 KM.  I looked up tune up USA for the break in,.
  it is moto tune usa

Once set they don't seem to migrate much. They seem to be a little on the tight side from the factory but consistent. Doing them is pretty easy and I'll bet you can do them once your mech does them with you watching. Many posts this forum on this. Most scoots have the same sequence. The DT300i is about the easiest. Put some anti-seize on the plug threads while you have it out.

I check my valves every 2 inspections (10k km). For the first time the valves (exhaust) needed some minor adjustment yesterday (40k km). All the proces rook about 40 mins (with disassembly and assembly of the scoot).

Just fyi....a valve inspection on a Honda NSS300 scooter is a whole lot more complex than these Kymcos! Panel removal is a treat and Honda uses the shims. So much so that few owners check their valves. Sad.
Seems like your Kymco 300s are as easy as my LIKE200I!

Since we had both the Like and the DT, we can reveal the Like was a bit more accessible with the removable panel just forward of the valve cover. The DT is kinda down in the pit.
