Kymco Xciting 400
« on: October 19, 2016, 11:31:26 PM »
Hi
I am new to this forum!
Having just had my Honda SH300i stolen, I have done some research and found the Kymco Xciting 400. The reviews seem great and I was just wondering if anyone has experience of this scooter? Also, could anyone give me their best guesstimates as to how many miles this scooter is comfortably capable of doing during the course of its lifetime. I've been offered one which is two years old with 10,000 miles on the clock.

A final thought: is there anything in particular (i.e. a recurring problem area perhaps for a Kymco) that I need to look out for when going to see this bike?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Regards

Jonny

This scooter is not available in the USA. So we don`t know much about it.
If you owned the SH, I assume you live in Europe.
I was under the impression the SH was top of the line in mid size scoots. Why are you not buying another SH.
The SH is another scoot that is not sold in the USA.

Hanzo sounds like a Spanish name?.

I don't know anything about the 400 but my little air cooled Kymco 150 has nearly 25,000 miles on it and is still running strong.  I would expect any of the bigger Kymco's to easily go over 50,000 miles.

What would I look for?  Test ride it and see if the owner has maintenance records.  That and look for obvious damage or signs of neglect.
